Franzwa Marine has served the Millville area going on six decades. “My dad started with a gas station in 1955,” says owner Joe Franzwa, who has been running the family business 46 years.

Joe’s parents, Joe and Louise, expanded the business to meet the needs of people heading to the shore. “Route 47 was the main hub in those days, before 55 was built. Dad got into RVs, hunting gear. We were a full-service sporting goods store for a time,” Joe recalls.

The business evolved as the market changed. Joe added boating and marine equipment and that’s where he and his wife Glenda have focused their efforts in recent years. Today’s Franzwa’s is a full-service marine dealer, selling and servicing boats and supplying the full range of accessories and equipment needed for pleasure boating and fishing.

In addition to a big inventory and a team of experts on site, Joe says his customers appreciate the fact that Franzwa’s has been family owned and operated since day one. “When they come in or call, they deal directly with the people who run and own the business,” he says. That means they always get solid advice and the right answers, direct from the source.
